So today, despite the rain and snow, Anthony and I made a trip to the Sullivan Galleries where my girl Ellie Hazlett has a piece in a show! She is EXTREMELY talented and I'm so glad that I finally got to see some of her work in person. Besides her piece there was some amazing art and a ton of it was Modern which is my favorite. Ellie's piece is only going to be in the gallery until February 1st, so if you can get down there before then I highly recommend checking it out but if not, check out this gallery regardless! It's a great spot and has some AMAZING art!

This one was made out of all little black bows attached to the wall! Loved it.
After the gallery we headed to HUB 51 for dinner and lemme tell ya... this resturant is amazeballs. (Do you guys love or hate that word? I can't give it up!) It was our first time going and we were super impressed! They have awesome beers on tap and sushi specials... what else could you ask for really? We got a couple sushi rolls as appetizers which were absolutely delish. Anthony ended up with vegetarian tacos and I opted for the fish tacos since I'm constantly on the hunt for Chicago's best (any suggestions?!)!
So basically I was able to get Daisy Cutter on tap, sushi AND tacos... happy girl over here.

We have been having the craziest weather in Chicago. It was 60 degrees yesterday and it's going to be 12 degrees on Friday...!? Something's not adding up. I don't know about you guys but I am CRAVING summer. Sandels, sundresses, the beach, bars with patios (!!! my favorite), walks to Starbucks, green grass and tons of flowers.
Summer, come back soon ok!?

If there's one thing I believe about interior design it's more is more. Too much color on your walls? Never. Worried about mixing too many patterns? No such thing. Feeling like you finally hit your apartments limit when it comes to wall art? I'll find some empty wall space for you.
One design trend that I have been loving is the idea of adding unexpected pattern to your space. Whether that means wallpaper in a closet or painted stripes on a hardwood floor, I'm seeing more and more stylists adding pops of pattern wherever they can fit it.
I mean that heart ceiling?! COME ON! What do you guys think? Are you with me on my more is more philosophy or am I crazy?
