Hey hey! Have you guys been noticing the floral crown trend happening!? I could not be more into it. This trend has such a carefree feel to it while still making a huge style impact. You know the girl in the flower crown is down for anything. My kinda girl..

Happy Monday! Even though we've been experiencing far from normal spring weather in Chicago it's been sunny almost everyday and that has me so optimistic! It's even supposed to get into the 40s this week... ekk! Lately I've been OBSESSED with sunglasses. The other day I even said, "I'm going to hoard sunglasses this summer" to Anthony (which he found to be so weird). I've already bought 4 new pairs in anticipation of sunny and warm days. Shopping For Your Guy

As every girl knows, guys are incredibly hard to shop for. Anything Anthony wants, he just buys himself. Those moments where he mentions wanting something and I can sneak out and suprise him with it almost never happens. This task can make me crazy sometimes when I have absolutely no ideas (and neither does he) of gifts to get him. This year for Valentine's Day I started thinking and asking early. Like two months in advance early. Everytime I would say, "Soooo any ideas of what you wouldn't want for Valentine's Day!?" I would get the reply of, "I don't want anything. Valentine's Day is for girls anyways." While that made me feel special on some level of course I still wanted to suprise him with something. Anthony works as a personal banker and wears a shirt and tie every single day (over the course of our relationship I've probably bought him 10 ties). So I decided to use his wardrobe as a starting point for thinking of a gift. My first thought was to give him Ben Sherman cuff links. While this is an awesome idea that I'm sure I'll use in the future I wanted to give him something more personal. After brainstorming I came up with the idea of a personalized tie clip! Something he can wear everyday if he wants to while still being personal and special. I found an awesome shop on Etsy and placed my order. I was so happy with what was shipped to me and Anthony was totally suprised and loved it. 

I had his initials "AO" stamped on the front and "You & Me" (which has been a special saying in our relationship) stamped on the back.

BUY or DIY Gold Animal Magnets?!

At any given time it seems like I have atleast 7 different DIY projects that I'm dying to accomplish. One of these projects that I have been loving and seeing all over different blogs and Pinterest is gold animal bust magnets. It's a simple DIY that will make any fridge and kitchen look so chic. I love decorating our apartment with plastic and brass animals, so when I saw this DIY I was so stoked on making these for our kitchen. With that being said, making those little guys was put on the back burner for months and to this day I still haven't attempted. WELL to my suprise and happiness, I found them to buy while shopping at Urban Outfitters this weekend! It was like the cosmos aligned and were like, "Alison, you're obviously never going to make these so just buy them and get it over with!" I bought two sets and now have 12 of those gold babies holding all of our photobooth strips on the fridge. 

So whata you guys think? It is ALWAYS more satisfying to make something for yourself? Or is settling and buying something that you've been meaning to DIY just as satifying? I don't know but I'm feeling pretty satisfied over here...

It's That Time of the Year Again!
